Even though CopperPlus outperforms ordinary copper, it weighs significantly
less. This can mean lower roof weight loads and less weight to handle.
Since CopperPlus is substantially stronger than copper of the same gauge,
even greater weight reductions can be achieved by specifying CopperPlus
to have the same mechanical properties as copper rather than the same
gauge as copper.
CopperPlus of the same thickness and size as solid copper will weigh in at 11% less. In this case, the heavyweight loses.
